From a distance,
we heard
the bell tower
chime ten times.
Due to our
leisurely breakfast
at the train station,
we missed the day's
only free English-guided
tour of Nidaros Cathedral.

Therefore
we took
our time
wandering
the grounds,
enjoying
the gardens,

and
strolling
the paths
through
the
cemetary

on up to the
ornate walls–
erected
800
to
1000
years
ago.

We
paused
to
capture
images

similiar
to
photos
taken
by
family
51 years
ago.
On the right in white, Grandma Lena posed with her niece Inger and sister Emma at a side entrance of Nidaros Cathedral during a visit to Trondheim in 1957.
